Contract in Brazil for FATA Hunter - A contract for the supply of a Single Coat Continuous Coil Coating Line for Aluminium Can Stock has been signed between Novelis do Brasil Ltda. and FATA Hunter, a Division of FATA S.p.A.

The Group has been named Top Employer 2012 in two countries Italy and the UK, an improvement on last year when it only received the certification in Italy.

APRIL 2012 - FATA HUNTER participated in the 3rd International Conference and Exhibition "Aluminium-21/Casting", held on April 3 - 5, at the Sokos Palace Bridge Hotel, in St. Petersburg, Russia. - The Aluminium Industry in Russia is expected to grow in the next several years.
The Conference dealt with innovation and technology relating to Secondary Aluminium, Recycling and Casting of Aluminium Products.

JANUARY 2012 - NEW FATA HUNTER COIL COATING LINE IN CHINA - A contract for the supply of a Single Coat Continuous Coil Coating Line for Aluminium Can Stock was signed last year between Shandong Weiqiao Aluminium & Electricity Co., Ltd and FATA Hunter, a Division of FATA S.p.A. (a Finmeccanica company).

NOVEMBER 2011 - ARABAL CONFERENCE - FATA participated in the 15th Arab International Aluminium Conference (ARABAL) held at the Grand Hyatt, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman on 13-16 November 2011.

APRIL 2011 - FATA is awarded a 300 million USD contract for the development of an aluminum rolling plant in Oman - FATA EPC, a Division of FATA SpA (a Finmeccanica Company) located in Turin, Italy was selected and awarded by Oman Aluminium Rolling Company the USD 300 million turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) Contract for the aluminium rolling plant in Oman.

JANUARY 2011 - Another Contract in China for FATA Hunter - FATA Hunter, Division of FATA S.p.A. (a Finmeccanica Company) was recently awarded a contract for the supply of two new 'h-system' process controls systems for thickness and flatness automatic control to Shandong Zouping Great Wall Energy Technology Co., Ltd., P.R. of China. The 2 h-systems will be installed on Chinese supplied rolling mills.

NOVEMBER 2010 - New h-system® Contract in China for FATA Hunter - FATA Hunter, Division of FATA S.p.A. (a Finmeccanica Company) will supply a further hSystem�® (FATA Hunter's proprietary automation system for automatic thickness and flatness control) to be installed on the second Chinese Cold Rolling Mill bought by Shandong DELI Group Co. Ltd. The first system was successfully installed on the first Cold Mill in 2009.

OCTOBER 2010 - Further success at Luoyang Wanji Aluminium Processing for FATA Hunter - At the end of September 2010, FATA Hunter, Division of FATA S.p.A. (a Finmeccanica Company) were awarded a contract for a second Tension Level Line by Luoyang Wanji Aluminium Processing Co., Ltd. in Henan Province, P. R. China.

SEPTEMBER 2010 - New Contract in China for FATA Hunter - FATA Hunter, Division of FATA S.p.A. (a Finmeccanica Company) was recently awarded a contract for the supply of three new 'h-system' process controls systems for thickness and flatness automatic control to Jiangsu Changfa Refrigeration Co. Ltd., People's Republic of China. The 3 h-systems will be installed on Chinese supplied rolling mills.

JULY 2010 - FATA Hunter awarded contract for 2 Tension Levelling Lines in Shandong Province, China - In July 2010, Nanshan Aluminium Co., Ltd. Based in Shandong Province in the People’s Republic of China awarded a contract to FATA Hunter for the supply of two Tension Levelling Lines.

JULY 2010 - FATA Hunter awarded contract for Tension Levelling Line in Henan Province, China - In July 2010, Luoyang Wanji Aluminium Processing Co., Ltd, based in Henan Province in the People’s Republic of China awarded a contract to FATA Hunter for the supply of an Aluminium Tension Levelling Line.

JULY 2010 - New Contract in China for FATA Hunter - FATA Hunter, a division of FATA S.p.A. (a Finmeccanica Company), were recently awarded a contract to supply a Foil Rolling Mill AFC and AGC Automation System to Xin Jiang Joinworld Co., Ltd. (People’s Republic of China).

JULY 2010 - FATA Hunter cooperation with CNPT Luoyang for the supply of a Tension Level Line to North East Light Alloy (NELAP), China - In July 2010, FATA Hunter and CNPT signed a contract to supply a Tension Levelling Line to North East Light Alloy Products (NELAP) Harbin, China.

MARCH 2010 - New 6-high Cold Mill Contract in China for FATA Hunter

FATA Hunter was recently awarded a contract for the supply of a 6-high Cold Rolling Mill for Luoyang Wanji Machined Aluminium Co., Ltd., Henan Province, China.

FATA Hunter's state of the art "OPTI-SIX" technology incorporates the acclaimed "h-system" for process control, including mass flow and feed-forward and will be completely engineered by FATA Hunter in Italy. Maximum strip width to be produced on this mill is 1900mm with a maximum entry gauge of 10mm down to 0,2mm finished thickness.

This contract will strengthen FATA Hunter's presence in China that began almost thirty years ago and has led to the establishment of offices in Beijing and Shanghai and a network of after sales service and support functions across China.

MARCH 2010 - New Contract for FATA Hunter

FATA Hunter, a division of FATA S.p.A., were recently awarded a contract to supply a complete state of the art Electrical Control System to Madar Coil Coating for their Tension Levelling and Coil Cleaning Line at their plant in Damascus, Syria.

FATA Hunter are world leaders in tension levelling and coil coating technology, and this represents a very important opportunity with a world class producer in the region.

Fata Hunter and Fata EPC have participated in the 2nd International Trade Show and 5th Alcastek Conference held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India on February 25-27, 2010.

The Trade Show has taken place at a time when the global economy is gradually coming out of an unexpected phase of economic turmoil.

The Aluminum Industry in the past 2 years of economic downturn has learned to consolidate, cut costs and adopt business strategies to meet the economic challenges.

The Indian Aluminium Industry continues to grow and make a visible impact on rapidly growing Infrastructure, Power, Communication and Auto Sectors.

At the Alcastek Conference 29 technical presentations from invited experts coming from 14 countries.

Mr. Prakash Reddy of Fata Hunter India presented a paper relating to: Innovations on Twin Roll Casting Process and Techniques (Authors: E. Romano, P. M. Cattelino and P. Reddy.)

Mr. A. Tropeano, was Session Chairman for the "Rolling and Power Cables" Session of the. 5th International Conference Alcastek 2010, Technology and Innovations in Emerging Markets.

FEBRUARY 2010 - New Contract in China for FATA Hunter

Chongqing Shunwei Aluminium Co., Ltd. (People�s Republic of China) recently awarded FATA Hunter a contract for the supply of a Cold Rolling Mill AFC Automation System and its accessories, spare parts, consumable materials, special tools, including technical service and technical training.

One of the most important features of the equipment supplied is the Shystem�, FATA Hunter�s proprietary real time, multitasking, multiprocessing control system specifically developed for rolling mills and casters. The Shystem� is based on market available hardware and operating system in order to simplify the utilization and to focus on the process control where the technology, operating process and know-how input from FATA Hunter�s expertise has contributed to the system design and implementation.

This contract will strengthen FATA Hunter�s presence in China that began almost thirty years ago.
